Do you get asked a lot how much this quilt would be worth? Or do you want to sell a few of your quilts because the quilt cabinet is overflowing?
This little tool may help you to determine the price for your quilt. It uses a simplified equation to calculate the material costs and then determine the sales price through applying a factor. The assumption for this shortcut is, that in many cases the triple of material costs is a good estimate for the retail price. The double of material costs may work for wholesale options or for the work of a very good friend or relative. Maybe it is also an option for an „On Sale“ price.
I’ll shortly put up a detailed file of what this calculator does, but basically it calculates the fabric need in square inch, adds the seam allowances (because of the amount of pieces) and then adds the notions.
